Yesterday I attended a fashion show by Lindsay of Monster Lou. I liveblogged shots of the models and some of the prep via my Instagram and Twitter accounts. Reliably a great time, the Spring 2012 MICA Fashion show, Milquetoast (hosted at the 2640 Space) was no exception. One of my favorite assignments every season, and always very different… it’s really fun to see what they come up with each year. This time, it was more of a group of themed performance art pieces than a traditional fashion show, but each piece served to highlight the student’s works, of course. I really recommend checking this out next time, if you live in Baltimore!
A few weeks back, I shot some portraits/promo shots for my friends, DC-based group Volta Bureau (featuring Will Eastman, OutputMessage, and Micah Vellian), to help promote their first release, Hope. Did you know they are named after a historical place in DC?

A couple of weeks ago I did a portrait session for Bmore Original recording artist Rogue. It was a lot of fun, I haven’t been shooting as many promo shots or portraits lately since I have been going to so many shows… it’s something I need to start doing more of again. Pictured are a few shots from the session.
I shot a few catalog/promo shots for my friend Joey B’s clothing line, Crazy Monkey Clothing Company. We did these real quick in my studio, he just needed basic shots to throw up on his web store, but I think they came out okay. I’ll link the web store here once they launch it.
One of my photos was published in the above book. It’s available on Amazon, but I haven’t seen it yet in person.
This year’s MICA-sponsored experimental fashion show was a lot of fun… luchadors, strongmen, swashbuckling pirate fights, and a lot of cool clothes… in a new gallery venue right next to the Wind-Up Space. Click here for some more photos…

Saturday I shot the Experimental Fashion Show, Kegger, at MICA. Not sure I understand the name, though the presenter tried to explain it. You can read more about the event here, look at the flyer here, and of course… Click here to view the full fashion show set!
A week or two ago, I did a photoshoot at my friend JP’s boutique in Baltimore, CULT. It was really fun, we just goofed off for an hour or so, and though it was chaotic, I think I got some good shots. Check out the full set of CULT photos. I will be posting more from this photoshoot tonight or tomorrow, too, so check back.
